Yes, you can either book, or click attending on the Facebook Event — bookings are appreciated, as they help me prepare and create a comfortable, well-catered space for everyone attending.
Our sessions go ahead rain, hail, or shine — as long as conditions are safe. Mindfulness in nature invites us to embrace whatever the moment brings, whether it’s sunshine, a cool breeze, or gentle rain. Each kind of weather offers a different experience and a chance to practise openness, presence, and acceptance — key teachings we can carry back into daily life.
Both are gentle experiences in nature, helping you slow down, connect with your senses, and explore mindfulness in different ways.
If you enjoy gentle movement, you might love the Mindfulness Walks. If you prefer more stillness, the Mindfulness Sessions are a beautiful way to simply be.
No specific fitness level is required for either — they’re suitable for everyone. Both invite you to connect with nature, your body, and yourself.
Not at all. Our mindfulness sessions and walks are about opening up to nature and gently focusing on the senses. When you notice the sound of birds, or feel your body resting on a chair as you sit, you are already practising mindfulness. It’s something anyone can do — no experience is needed.
For the majority of the Mindfulness Session, we will be seated on grass. You can bring a yoga mat or chair if you feel more comfortable.
For the Mindfulness Walk and Mindfulness Session we will be doing a Mindfulness Eating Activity midway through. If you would like to join us, please bring a piece of fruit or snack. Please also let me know of any strict dietery requirements or allergies.
The Nature Locations and Google Maps meeting points can be found here.
The Mindfulness Session gently unfolds in four parts.
We begin by meeting at the designated meeting point, then take a short five-minute walk through the trees to a quiet spot in nature.
Once settled beneath a beautiful tree, we share a space of stillness — taking in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the natural environment.
Midway through, we take part in a Mindful Eating Activity, followed by time to quietly immerse in nature — with the option to do this individually or with the group.
To conclude, we come back together to reflect and share our experiences before making our way back.
The mindfulness walk gently unfolds in three parts.
We start by meeting at the location and setting a simple intention for the walk.
As we move through nature, I’ll guide mindfulness practices that focus on sound, sight, breath, and movement. Partway through, we pause for a mindful eating activity, taking time to slowly savour and notice food with awareness.
We finish the walk together, pausing at the end to reflect on the experience and, if you wish, share insights with the group.
Please message me prior to the start time on 0422 714 441 so we can wait for you or make other arrangements, before we begin our walk.
There is plenty of parking at all our locations
There are toilets at the Doncaster Location.
